MY SPEECH AT MIKE AND RACHEL'S WEDDING!! The great philosopher Socrates once said, “By all means marry. If you get a good wife you will become happy, and if you get a bad one you will become a philosopher.” Mike I am very confident that you will never become a philosopher. Hello everybody, my name is Niel and let me be the first to welcome you to Mike and Rachel’s wedding. Before we go any further lets give a big hand to a few people who really deserve it Rachel’s parents, Harold and Karen, Mike’s mom Charlotte and his Dad up in heaven who no doubt is smiling down on us today. Mike and I became friends almost 15 years ago and over the years there have been many adventures and good times. I remember our first golf outing where Mike nearly killed me with his back swing. Looking back I thank god he hadn’t found the 600cc driver he is swinging these days. I remember when Mike told me he was moving down here, I was so bummed because I knew I would miss him greatly. But as I got to know Rachel better, I knew Mike would be in great hands. Now if everyone could please raise their glasses as I give a traditional Armenian wedding blessing, Rachel, Mike may you grow old together on the same pillow. SALUD.
