White Out! -- Soprano's Star In!

Ani and I noticed that Lynn White was not on the WB11 news in the morining this week. And Sukanya Krishnan (who played herself in Episode 1 of season five of the Sopranos) was subbing. Then when they did the hourly opening Lynn was gone and Suki (as the kids call her) was in the intro.

Today I found this in the New York Post confirming what happened. And yes I know I have a ban on the Post, but none of the reputable papers had any infor on this story. Welcome back!

SUKANYA Krishnan is replacing Lynn White on "The WB11 Morning News" beginning Monday.

White, who had co-anchored the show since its June 2000 debut, was on the air yesterday — but made no mention that it was her final broadcast.

"Her contract was up and we decided not to renew it," Ch. 11 news director Karen Scott said yesterday.

"It was a business decision. We wish her all the best."

Before joining Ch. 11, White had been the news anchor for Ch. 5's "Good Day New York" for 10 years.

This marks a return to Ch. 11 for Krishnan, who had been a feature reporter on "The WB11 Morning News" from August 2001 through last April — when she left to co-host the short-lived syndicated series, "Home Delivery," which was cancelled last fall.

Krishnan will join John Muller on the anchor desk from 7 to 9 a.m. (the show hits the air at 5 a.m.).

Muller has co-anchored "The WB11 Morning News" since its launch.
