#96 Do The Right Thing

Do the Right Thing (1989) Spike Lee, Danny Aiello, Ossie Davis, Frank Vincent and John Tutturo.
The hottest day of the summer in Brooklyn just got a bit hotter. This movie seemed like a play, all the small vignettes that form one larger piece. Now thinking back about it, the tension in the movie started slowly like a pot of water boiling and then eventually as the day went on boiled over with death and mayhem. And then ended the next day, it was cooler out and cooler heads were prevailing. It was good - I liked that Radio Rahiem always was playing the song "Fight the Power" by Public Enemy. I'm not sure it was one of the 100 best pictures ever made.
