A better start

So today hasn't started off so badly. I took Belushi on his morning walk and to get iced coffee. I had the coffee he enjoyed straws. Seriously we need to find a better option than Dunkin Donuts for iced coffee, they are just brutal. We ran into an old friend.

The friend Mr. Dowd, was taking a walk and we started talking about how my unemployment is going. Incidentally he is the only person I refer to as Mr. (Surname) because that is what I referred to him when I first met him 25-years ago as a 10 1/2 year old boy scout. Holy crap that is a long time. Where is my 25 year pin? And despite being as old as I am, its a respect thing. You have no idea how it drives me crazy when the kids in the troop refer to him as Tom. Seriously our family went to Disney World with his and I don't refer to him as Tom. I'm just saying.

Any we talked about my job search, and he gave me a lot of good advice and strategies that I will use. Then Belushi got cranky so we headed back home. And he took a 15 minute nap, and Nugget was still asleep. And for 10 glorious minutes I had silence. But then within a few moments they were both up. Time to attack our day ... without a car but that is OK New York has the best public transportation system in the world.
