A new shade of blue (light special)

What do you think of when you think of Kmart? Sort of the middle ground Target and Walmart? Blue light specials and what not? That is what I thought too. But after participating in Kmart's house party I know that Kmart is changing who they are.

One of the fun things they are doing is something called Shopparatzi. You use your app on your iOS device (Android capability is being rolled out soon) and you can send your shopping list and by the time you get over to your store the Kmart associates will have it ready for you. They assured us that they will have everything you need, even things that are not available in their stores. The Shopparatzi concierge service is only being rolled out in certain markets. But the app will be available everywhere and alerts you to exclusive blue light specials. Joe Boxer two packs of boxer briefs for 99 cents? Yes please.

Part of Kmart's new strategy is being able to provide its customers with Bragworthy deals. I am really excited about their new line of designer brand watches, some of which retail for nearly a thousand dollars, that they will be selling for around $90. An awesome gift for Fathers Day, Graduations or even as gifts for groomsmen.

This watch retails for $849.99 - Kmart price under $90

Recently I learned that my family will be moving into a bigger place and we will need some new furniture pieces. I know that we will be able to stretch our dollars further at Kmart. I know I had my eye on the great looking benches, that give a dining room a very modern new look as it accents our dining room set.

And when we get around to working on our outdoor space, there are so many options at Kmart. And with their lay-away program we can make the backyard the getaway it should be. I will be honest, the products on display didn't seem like things I thought you would find at Kmart. Super high quality, and at great prices, sign me up. Yes, you will still be able to buy Christmas lights at a discount price right after Thanksgiving and get a good price on a cooler or tent, but they have stepped it up big-time. It is not your dad's Kmart.

Full disclosure Kmart invited me to an event to show new offerings, I was compensated, but as always all opinions are my own.
